oodturner and furniture maker Shoji Morinaga takes the inspiration for his bowls from some modern woodturning masters. Most of his bowls are made of lightweight woods including Yamazakura (cherry) and Ho wood.

Morinaga who has a background in industrial design, also runs a furniture service and shop in Japan.
