Japanese ceramics and artisan made housewares

Kenji Fukui

Born into a woodworking family, Kenji Fukui first followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, producing furniture and traditional Buddhist altars. Later, he started producing a line of cutting boards and household accessories for everyday use. Fukui's beautifully-shaped cutting boards are produced primarily using ginko, a lightweight wood that has natural anti-bacterial properties that make it ideal for kitchen use.
