Tetsu-yu Donabe Pot

Artist: Tadamasa Yamamoto
35,000 yen ($306.51 USD)

Tadamasa Yamamoto's pots, handmade from Iga clay, are ideal for a variety of nabe style dishes such as sukiyaki or shabu shabu. Iga-yaki is one of Japan’s most highly-regarded traditional ceramics and the clay of the region is particularly suited to production of cooking pots because of the organic matter it contains which leaves the pottery porous and heat resistant when fired at high temperatures. The porous clay allows for excellent heat distribution while slowly simmering foods.

**Not suitable for use with induction and electric stovetops.
