Potter Tetsuya Ozawa uses local clay and a traditional glaze (Chara), that originated in the pottery town of Tokoname, where he lives and work, in the creation of his ceramic tableware. Ozawa-san layers the surfaces of his vessels, and uses selective sanding to create the distinctive textures and coloration on his pieces.

1984: Born in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture.
2008: Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Nagoya University of Arts.
2008: Studied under potter Masamichi Yoshikawa.
2015: Established an independent studio in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture.
