Shikiita (Mat) / Ø20cm

Washi craft-artist Wataru Hatano’s small tea mats are made by layering washi paper on an aluminum base and applying a persimmon tannin for durability and water resistance. A pigment is added for color and the mats are finished with oil. The paper surface is quite durable and can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

*The surface of each mat is unique and the uneven surfaces and rough edges are not a defect in the design.
*Please note the small dimensions.
