While this recent series of tea bowls possess the exquisite shapes, thin forms and modern style that characterizes all his ceramic work, Yoshida-san used used glazes and techniques such as hand-building and freehand carving on the wheel, not typically used for his regular tableware, in their production. Each tea bowl comes in a signed kiri wood box.

Naotsugu Yoshida
After graduating from Tokyo Zokei University, Naotsugu Yoshida studied under well known ceramic artist Taizo Kuroda. In 2003 he built his own kiln at the foothills of Mt.Fuji and began production of his ceramic tableware and vessels which he exhibits regularly in Japan.
