Hand-woven Pot Mat
Pot Mat / 13cm x 15.5cm / material: Linen Yarn, British Woollen Merino Yarn / Natural Dyes
Noriko Matsumoto, a weaver based in Nagoya works with natural materials and dyes to produce hand-woven textile accessories.
This series of pot mats were made using high-quality wool yarn purchased from the UK. This yarn is crafted with carefully selected wool, spun meticulously on traditional machines by a wool specialist. After weaving shawls, Matsumoto gathers the remaining yarn, dyes it with natural dyes, and bundles it to use as weft. This pot mats can be used on either side, which both have different patterns as can be seen in the first image.
