Small celadon pot with lid and handle inspired by ancient Korean vessels designed for pouring sake. Although it does not have a built in strainer for loose tea, it can also function as a teapot for brewing tea bags.
Potter: Shinji Hidaka
Shinji Hidaka originally studied painting before turning his attention to the production of ceramics and establishing a studio in the city of Mizunami, Gifu. In 2016 Hidaka moved his studio to Okayama prefecture. Hidaka-san's work is influenced by a fondness for the ancient pottery traditions of Korea, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian countries.
