Toki no Hako - Fukujuso / Ø6cm x h7cm
Fukujuso is a yellow flower that heralds the arrival of spring. Its symbolic meaning includes "bringing happiness" and "eternal happiness.

Kyoto based glass artist Sonoko Matsuda uses casting techniques to craft a series of small patterned glass containers. Matsuda calls the boxes, "Toki no Hako" (Box of Time) a name which might suggest a container holding moments or memories. The boxes, decorated with intricate motifs from nature, vary in size and shape and range from translucent to opaque.
