Glass artist Takara Kinoshita creates hand-blown glass tableware and accessories for daily use at her studio in Toyama prefecture. Her thin, lightweight glassware has graceful curves and contemporary unadorned forms.
Takara-san sees the small bubbles, lines and other minor imperfections that form in the glass at the time of creation as happy accidents that contribute to the uniqueness of each piece. For customers preferring perfectly unblemished glassware her pieces may not be suitable.
