A master craftsman of nambu tetsu, or traditional Japanese cast iron, Nobuho Miya works from his Kamasada ironware studio, founded by one of his ancestors in the Meiji era.

Simplicity and subtle decoration characterise all of Miya’s work including these small lidded boxes designed to hold cinnabar paste commonly used with Japanese inkans (seals).
